- Portland Thorns FC beat the Orlando Pride 3-1 on Saturday night at Orlando City Stadium. The game was delayed for over 30 minutes in second half stoppage time because of lightning in the area, but resumed for the final two minutes with no more goals scored. The Thorns remain unbeaten at 2-0-2 with 8 points on the season. The Pride remain winless, dropping to 0-5-1 with 1 point.
- The Pride opened the scoring first with a goal from Toni Pressley, off a corner kick from Carson Pickett. It’s Orlando’s second goal of the season.
- The Thorns took the lead in the first half after goals from Dagný Brynjarsdóttir and Andressinha to go up 2-1. Andressinha’s goal came on a direct free kick in the 37th minute. Caitlin Foord added a goal for Portland in the second half.
- Pride goalkeeper Haley Kopmeyer made back-to-back saves on a penalty kick in the second half.
