Mallory Pugh scored twice in front of the hometown crowd for the Washington Spirit in the first half, but ultimately the visiting Seattle Reign FC nabbed all three points on the road to finish out their season. Jessica Fishlock scored a second-half brace, including the game-winning goal in the 90th minute and Larissa Crummer added one of her own to complete the comeback.

The regular season closer also marked the end of defender Elli Reed’s five-year career with the Reign, as she previously announced her retirement at the end of the season.
Reign FC owner Bill Predmore and head coach/general manager Laura Harvey both honored her commitment to the team on Saturday night.

As Harvey also tweeted after the game, it was only fitting there was a late winner for the team: “We love drama.”
So proud of this lot tonight. @LarissaCrummer @Kiersten_Roan made a huge diff. @ellireed goes out the way she should. @madalynschiffel and @madbau18 1st starts! It’s been emotional, we love drama #LetItReign
