Sam Kerr topped the scoring charts once more to earn her third consecutive NWSL Golden Boot, finishing as the league’s top scorer in the regular season with 18 goals and five assists in 21 games. The Australian international scored her record-tying and then record-breaking goals in a 3-1 win over the Washington Spirit on September 22 in the Red Stars’ penultimate contest of the regular season.

North Carolina Courage forward Lynn Williams finished as runners up in the scoring race for a second consecutive season with 12 goals.

During her three-peat of earning the Golden Boot, Kerr has scored a total of 51 league goals during that stretch.
