Orlando Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris suffered a quadriceps injury near her hip on Sunday and is expected to miss approximately eight weeks, the team announced Tuesday.
Harris was injured after taking a goal kick and had to be subbed out in the 26th minute at Memorial Stadium in Seattle. The Pride captain had played every minute of the season before the injury.
Stanley, who spent last season with Sky Blue FC, was signed as a replacement goalkeeper last week as regular backup Aubrey Bledsoe missed the game with a concussion. Stanley will remain with the Pride and travel to New Jersey for Orlando’s Saturday meeting with Sky Blue FC, the team said.
