Sky Blue FC 0 | Houston Dash 1
  • The Houston Dash picked up a 1-0 win over Sky Blue FC on Saturday night.
  • Dash midfielder Sofia Huerta scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute, cleaning up a loose ball after a good save from Sky Blue FC goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan to deny Rachel Daly.
  • Sky Blue FC were awarded a penalty kick in the 27th minute after a foul in the box, but Carli Lloyd‘s effort went just wide. It’s the second time in two games this season that the Dash have given up a penalty kick, but also the second time that their opponent has failed to convert the kick.
  • Sky Blue FC goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan, one of two players to set a new NWSL record with 108 saves last season, made 10 saves on Saturday night to keep the match close.
