The UEFA Women’s Euro tournament in the Netherlands begins Sunday with Group A action as Norway takes on the host nation at Noon ET and Denmark meets Belgium at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Three NWSL players are expected to be in action as Boston Breakers forward Emilie Haavi represents Norway and Denmark features Portland Thorns FC forward Nadia Nadim and Washington Spirit midfielder Line Sigvardsen Jensen.
Every game of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 will be streamed live on ESPN3 and the ESPN app. The final will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Norway vs. Netherlands (Noon ET)
Norway is currently ranked No. 11 in the world. At this tournament in 2013, they finished second, losing to Germany in the final.
Haavi broke her jaw in the preseason, but made her NWSL debut on May 27. She has appeared in six games for the Breakers since then, starting five. She started and played 59 minutes for Norway in the 1-0 loss to the United States on June 11.
Denmark vs. Belgium (2:45 p.m. ET)
Denmark is currently ranked No. 15 in the world. In 2013, they lost in the semifinals of the tournament to Norway.
Nadim has scored four goals for the Thorns this season, tied for most on the team. Sigvardsen Jensen has a goal and an assist for the Spirit.
