On Wednesday, the Houston Dash announced the team waived midfielder Denise O’Sullivan.
O’Sullivan played in 11 matches for the Dash this year, but her role changed after the departure of former head coach Randy Waldrum. Her minutes decreased from last season to this summer, having registered 1,313 during the 2016 season and exiting with only 448 minutes played in 2017.
Overall, she appeared in 29 games for Houston, and scored two goals and added two assists in her NWSL career.
According to reporting from the Houston Chronicle, O’Sullivan already has offers on the table from clubs in England, Germany and Scotland.
After the announcement, O’Sullivan tweeted her thanks to the fans, her teammates and the Dash. “I thought at this stage the best thing for me was to find new opportunities wherever that will be on my next journey,” she wrote.
