Following in her performance in Seattle’s 5-1 over the Houston Dash, Seattle Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock has been named Player of the Week  by the NWSL Media Association for Week 2 of the 2017 NWSL season

Fishlock scored the game’s first goal in the 18th minute and then assisted on Megan Rapinoe’s volley to make it 2-0. It was her shot from distances — one of three shots on goal she had in the game — that led to a rebound and Beverly Yanez’s goal that made it 4-0.

Fishlock tallied five total shots, including her three on goal, and 72 touches in the match.

The NWSL Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league on a consistent basis. For more information on the NWSL Media Association, follow them on Twitter.
