Featuring research by Cassidy Gabriel.

North Carolina Courage forward Crystal Dunn, the June Player of the Month, and Utah Royals FC defender Becky Sauerbrunn lead the way on the June Team of the Month, the fourth-straight time they’ve earned the honor this season. They are joined by two three-time honorees: Courage midfielder McCall Zerboni (April, May, June) and Portland Thorns FC midfielder Lindsey Horan (March, May, June).

The first-place North Carolina Courage (12-1-3, 39 points) have the most players on the roster, with four. Dunn and Zerboni are joined by defenders Abby Erceg and Merritt Mathias.

The June Team of the Month was selected by the NWSL Media Association. The team lines up in a 4-3-3 formation.
