  • North Carolina Courage forward Kristen Hamilton tied an NWSL record with four goals in a game as the Courage beat the Houston Dash 5-2 on Friday to kick off Week 12 in the NWSL. Hamilton now has seven goals on the season, second-best in the NWSL. She scored a hat trick on June 1 vs. the Orlando Pride.
  • Hamilton is just the second player in the NWSL history to score four goals in a game, tying the record set by Sam Kerr in 2017 with Sky Blue FC.
  • The win moves the Courage to 19 points and a 5-2-4 record. The Dash remain in seventh place with the loss. They are 3-4-4 with 13 points.
  • Lynn Williams also scored for the Courage and added an assist. She is the only player in the league with at least four goals and four assists. Her four assists are tied for the league lead with her teammate Jaelene Hinkle, who assisted on one of Hamilton’s goals, and Chicago Red Stars forward Yuki Nagasato.
  • Kristie Mewis and Kyah Simon scored for the Dash.
