Washington Spirit midfielder Line Sigvardsen Jensen has suffered a torn ACL in her right knee, the Spirit confirmed on Monday. She will miss the rest of the season.

Sigvardsen Jensen was injured while competing for Denmark at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 tournament in the Netherlands. She had played every minute of the tournament before being injured in the second half of Denmark’s semifinal win over Austria.

“We’re all really disappointed for Line. She’s done such a great job for our club and for her country this year,” Spirit head coach Jim Gabarra said in a team press release. “We feel her disappointment in not being able to play for Denmark in the EURO Final, and also the Spirit for the remainder of this year. We’re confident she’ll make a full recovery and come back as strong as ever.”

Denmark went on to finish second in the tournament, falling to the Netherlands in the final. Sigvardsen Jensen recorded a goal and assist this season for the Spirit.
