The Dash claimed former Thorns defender Meghan Cox off waivers on Tuesday, the team announced.

She had appeared in nine games for the Thorns this season after being signed in April as an undrafted rookie from the University of Virginia.

Elsewhere around the league, a number of roster moves were made this week:

The Courage signed Caroline Stanley as a goalkeeper replacement as Sabrina D’Angelo is out with illness.

The Breakers signed forward Hayley Dowd, the No. 38 overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft out of Boston College.

Sky Blue FC signed defender Cassidy Benintente, a graduate of Rutgers, where she played with current Sky Blue defender Erica Skroski and midfielder Madison Tiernan.

The Pride signed midfielders Jo Blankenship and Jordan O’Brien (pending receipt of her International Transfer Certificate). Blankenship and O’Brien had been with the team as training players since the middle of last season.
