Nine NWSL players named to Canada’s roster for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup
The tournament begins June 7

Canada’s 23-player roster for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup was announced on Saturday and it features nine NWSL players. FIFA will confirm all rosters on May 27, ahead of the tournament in France, which begins on June 7.

The nine players are: Stephanie Labbé (North Carolina Courage), Allysha Chapman (Houston Dash), Shelina Zadorsky (Orlando Pride), Desiree Scott (Utah Royals FC), Christine Sinclair (Portland Thorns FC), Sophie Schmidt (Houston Dash), Nichelle Prince (Houston Dash), Kailen Sheridan (Sky Blue FC) and Lindsay Agnew (Houston Dash).

Drawn into Group E, Canada will play Cameroon on June 10, New Zealand on June 15 and the Netherlands on June 20.
