Houston Dash and FC Kansas City fined for comments critical of the match officials

The National Women’s Soccer League released the following press release Thursday:

CHICAGO (July 13, 2017) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that the Houston Dash and FC Kansas City have been fined an undisclosed amount for comments critical of the match officials, which were made by Houston head coach Omar Morales, Houston midfielder Amber Brooks and Kansas City head coach Vlatko Andonovski regarding Saturday’s games against the Portland Thorns FC and Sky Blue FC, respectively.

In addition, the Dash have been fined an undisclosed amount for an inappropriate gesture made by Brooks on the field.
