Lydia Williams is headed back to Seattle Reign FC. The club announced on Tuesday that the Australian goalkeeper has been re-signed for the 2018 season.

Williams is currently playing in the W-League in Australia for Melbourne City. In a team news release, new Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski called re-signing Williams one of the “main goals” for the club.

“I’m excited to be joining the Reign right from the beginning for the 2018 season,” Williams said in the team’s official announcement. “The club has a specific direction in mind, and I think we will play an entertaining style of football. We will be ready to compete from day one.”

Williams joined the team near the end of the season after a trade with the Dash. She immediately started the next three games for the Reign. She recorded one shutout and allowed two goals in those games.

Williams is the fourth international to be re-signed by the team in the last two weeks. Of the six players listed as having been extended new contract offers at the end of the season, only Lauren Barnes and Carson Pickett remain not yet re-signed.
