Breakers midfielder Rose Lavelle scored the first goal of her NWSL career and Boston added goals from forwards Natasha Dowie and Adriana Leon to win 3-0 over Seattle Reign FC in front of a crowd of 2,315 at Jordan Field.

The win moves the Breakers, who finished 3-15-2 last season, to 2-1-0 on the season and is their second straight victory.

Breakers goalkeeper Abby Smith made six saves and has now recorded back-to-back shutouts. Leon contributed on every goal, notching two assists to go with her score.

Seattle, coming off a 5-1 win over Houston last week, could not find the back of the net Saturday night in Boston. The Reign are now 1-1-1.
