A quick look back at all the action from Week 2 of the NWSL — and it was a very busy Week 2.

Orlando Pride 1 Washington Spirit 1

Five-time FIFA World Player of the Year Marta made her NWSL debut, coming on in the second half for the Orlando Pride. Washington’s Line Sigvardsen Jensen scored her first NWSL goal almost immediately after she entered, but the drama was only just beginning. Pride rookie Danica Evans tied the game in the 86th minute and Marta very nearly scored the game-winner in stoppage time.

Seattle Reign FC 5 Houston Dash 1

The Reign won big over the Dash — 5-1 — with goals from five different players. Megan Rapinoe scored an impressive left-footed volley and Seattle added goals from Jess Fishlock, Kristen McNabb, Beverly Yanez and Katlyn Johnson.

Chicago Red Stars 1 FC Kansas City 0

Julie Ertz scored as the Red Stars controlled most of the match vs. FC Kansas City.

North Carolina Courage 1 Portland Thorns FC 0

North Carolina improved to 2-0-0 as they won their first-ever home game. Midfielder Debinha scored her first NWSL goal.

Boston Breakers 1 Sky Blue FC 0

The Boston Breakers won their home-opener 1-0 over Sky Blue FC. Breakers forward Natasha Dowie scored the game’s only goal and rookie midfielder Rose Lavelle earned her first NWSL assist.
