After a busy Sunday in the NWSL, here’s a quick look at the playoff picture:

Portland Thorns FC became the second team to secure a spot in the 2017 NWSL Playoffs. After a 4-0 win over the Washington Spirit on Saturday, they needed FC Kansas City to beat Sky Blue FC. The Blues delivered with a 4-1 win.

The North Carolina Courage could have secured a home playoff game with a win in Chicago, but they lost 2-1, meaning they will have to wait at least another game to wrap up one of the top two spots.

The Thorns are just two points behind the Courage, though North Carolina has one extra game left to play this season.

The Red Stars kept their third place spot thanks to a late game-winning goal from Julie Ertz.

Though both teams are tied on points, Chicago holds the third spot over Orlando because the first tiebreak in the NWSL is head-to-head and the Red Stars are 2-0-1 vs. the Pride this season.

The Reign jumped over Sky Blue and into fifth place with their win over the Dash.

FC Kansas City avoid elimination with the win over Sky Blue.
