Three NWSL players have been called in by head coach B.J. Snow for the U.S. Under-23 women’s national team’s first training camp of 2018, which will take place from Jan 4-11 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Camp in Carson, California.

The NWSL players called in for the camp are Breakers forward Margaret Purce, Courage forward Darian Jenkins and Red Stars forward Summer Green.

In addition, several potential 2018 NWSL College Draft picks have been invited to the camp, including: Emily Boyd (goalkeeper, California), Casey Murphy (goalkeeper, Rutgers), Indigo Gibson (defender, California), Hailey Harbison (defender, Pepperdine) and midfielder Brianna Visalli (midfielder, Pepperdine). The 2018 NWSL College Draft will take place on January 18 in Philadelphia.

Purce appeared in 22 games in her rookie season for the Breakers, registering a goal and two assists for Boston. Jenkins was drafted by the Courage with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft, but missed the season because of a left ankle dislocation/fracture. Green made six appearances for the Red Stars in 2017.
