Bledsoe made seven saves and earned a clean sheet in the Spirit’s 2-0 win over the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday. It’s her third clean sheet and she’s allowed just four goals in six games this season.
Two of Bledsoe’s best efforts came in the second half. First, she won a one-on-one battle in the 54th minute with Red Stars forward Katie Johnson, who had snuck in behind the Spirit backline. Then in the 94th minute, she made a diving stop through traffic, avoiding her own teammate, on a shot by Casey Short.
