Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock has been voted Week 9 NWSL Player of the Week by NWSL Media Association.

Fishlock scored the game-tying goal in Reign FC’s 1-1 tie with the Washington Spirit on Saturday.

Fishlock’s goal came in the 77th minute, after the Reign earned a throw-in in the Spirt’s defensive half. Fishlock’s initial shot from just out the 18-yard-box was blocked, but Fishlock took advantage of a missed clearance and buried her second effort.

Fishlock finished the match with eleven total shots, four on goal, and one chance created.

The NWSL Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league on a consistent basis. For more information on the NWSL Media Association, follow them on Twitter.
