The Houston Dash have officially signed Australian forward Kyah Simon, the club announced Wednesday.
The Dash selected the rights to Simon in January’s dispersal draft, after the Boston Breakers ceased operations. Simon had played for the Breakers in 2016, scoring three goals in 23 appearances.
She has 23 goals in 76 international appearances for Australia.
Simon had been named to Australia’s roster for the Algarve Cup, but will now miss the tournament after injuring her hamstring in the W-League Grand Final last week. The Dash said they would provide updates on her rehab.
