KANSAS CITY (February 5, 2021) – Kansas City NWSL forward Mariana Larroquette has been named to Argentina’s roster for the SheBelieves Cup in Orlando, Florida February 18-24. Larroquette is one of three Kansas City players representing their home countries in the tournament. Midfielders Desiree Scott and Diana Matheson were named to Canada’s roster last week.
Larroquette has made 16 appearances (eight starts) for Argentina, making her senior team international debut in the 2014 Copa America in Ecuador. The 28-year-old forward from Buenos Aires represented her home country at the 2008 and 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups. Larroquette was also a member of Argentina’s National Team at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Larroquette was the first international signing for Kansas City, and she will join the team’s preseason program following the conclusion of the SheBelieves Cup.
