The National Women’s Soccer League issued the following news release on Friday:
CHICAGO (April 6, 2018) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has rescinded the one-game suspension of Portland Thorns FC head coach Mark Parsons that was assessed by the NWSL Disciplinary Committee for misconduct in his interactions with the Officials following Portland’s match on March 24. In addition, the league upheld the fine assessed to Parsons.
Parsons served the automatic one-game suspension for the dismissal by the Official in the Thorns FC’s match on March 31 vs. Chicago Red Stars.
As a result of the Thorns FC appeal, Parsons will be eligible to return to the sideline for the club’s next match against the Orlando Pride on April 15 at Providence Park in Portland, Ore.
