Hurricane Harvey has impacted Houston and the surrounding areas after record rainfalls from the Category 4 storm. There are a number of options for fans of the NWSL to donate to for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. As always, it is important to independently vet charities before making donations.

For supporters of the Houston Dash, more information on the postponed match between the Dash and North Carolina Courage originally scheduled for Aug. 27 is available here.

For more information on donating to the Red Cross, click here. You can also text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10. Apple users can also donate via both the App and iTunes store.

Amazon is matching donations to the American Red Cross up to $1 million when made through the Amazon website, and also has a list of supplies needed by the Red Cross.

The Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner set up a dedicated donation site, the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

The Houston Food Bank can provide 3 meals with every dollar donated. Here is more information on food banks from Feeding Texas.

The Coalition for the Homeless in Houston has provided some new updates and is also accepting donations.

Portline Strategies helps provide an inclusive response to Hurricane Harvey for the disabled, and donations can be made via PayPal at their website.

Food banks and other relief agencies don’t usually provide diapers, but the Texas Diaper Bank will meet this need. When donating to Texas Diaper Bank, select “Disaster Relief” in the dropdown to earmark it for hurricane relief efforts.

There are a few organizations working on assisting pets during hurricane relief efforts as well. Both the Houston Humane Society and SPCA of Texas are working to rescue and assist pets during the storm’s aftermath.

For more options, there are also lists of resources available at many news outlets, such as this one from National Public Radio or this one from Vox.
