Elsewhere, the two best offenses in the league traded blows in one of the most epic games in NWSL history as Megan Rapinoe grabbed back the top spot in the race for the Golden Boot with a hat trick to lead the Seattle Reign to a 5-4 win over Sky Blue.
Rapinoe joins Nadia Nadim as the only players to score three goals in a game on two separate occasions and the U.S. international is the oldest player to record a hat trick in the history of the league.
