
Reign FC midfielder Rumi Utsugi has been named to Japan’s roster for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The full 23-woman roster was announced by Japan on Friday. FIFA will officially confirm all rosters on May 27.
In the announcement, Japan said Utsugi and Lyon defender Saki Kumagai are scheduled to join the team in France on May 27.

Japan was drawn into Group D for this summer’s tournament. They’ll be taking on England, Scotland and Argentina in group stage action.
The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup begins June 7.
