The Chicago Red Stars have acquired Savannah McCaskill from Sky Blue FC in exchange for two 2020 NWSL College Draft picks, the teams announced Wednesday. Sky Blue FC will receive the Red Stars’ highest first-round pick and natural second-round pick in the 2020 draft.
“We were looking for another player with different attacking qualities than what we currently have to continue to improve our attacking options,” Red Stars head Rory Dames said in a news release from the club. “We believe Savannah checked the boxes we were looking for to improve both our team on the field and our locker room.”
McCaskill is in her second NWSL season, and has three goals and four assists in her NWSL career.
