Here’s a quick look back at Week 6’s game highlights:

 

Friday night: Boston Breakers 2 Portland Thorns FC 2

Portland forward Nadia Nadim’s 83rd minute equalizer earned the Thorns a tie on the road vs. the Boston Breakers.


 

Saturday afternoon: Sky Blue FC 2 Houston Dash 1

Midfielder Raquel Rodriguez ‘s 85th minute goal lifted Sky Blue FC to a 2-1 win over the Houston Dash.

 

 


 

Saturday night: FC Kansas City 1 Washington Spirit 0

Spirit forward Mallory Pugh made her NWSL debut, but FC Kansas City midfielder Alexa Newfield’s goal was the difference as Kansas City beat Washington 1-0.

 


 

Sunday afternoon: Chicago Red Stars 3 North Carolina Courage 1

The Chicago Red Stars scored three goals in 15 minutes as they topped the North Carolina Courage 3-1. It’s North Carolina’s second straight loss. Midfielder Sofia Huerta scored a beautiful right-footed curling shot off an assist from forward Christen Press. Press and midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo also scored for Chicago.

 


Sunday night: Seattle Reign FC 1 Orlando Pride 1

Seattle Reign FC forward Beverly Yanez scored in the 40th minute and Orlando Pride forward Marta scored in the 51st as Seattle Reign FC and the Orlando Pride tied 1-1 in Week 6. Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris was subbed off in the 26th minute with an apparent hip injury.
