Lauren Holiday Impact Award presented by Nationwide – Fan Impact Challenge
The Lauren Holiday Impact Award (LHIA) “Fan Impact Challenge” presented by Nationwide (the “Sponsor”) is an opportunity for NWSL fans to engage and show support for their favorite LHIA nominee. The Fan Impact Challenge generates a winner (one of the 14 LHIA nominees) separate from the 2025 Lauren Holiday Impact Award Winner, which is selected by a voting panel and announced the week of the 2025 NWSL Championship. Additionally, this promotion will also generate a fan winner, selected at random from those who participated in the Fan Impact Challenge and is from the winning player’s fan base (the “Promotion”).
Fan Voting Eligibility: Fan voting will reside on an NWSL-managed microsite – www.nwslsoccer.com/FanImpactChallenge (the “Challenge Site”). The Fan Impact Challenge is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States (the “Territory”) who are eighteen (18) years or older (each an “Eligible Entrant”). Employees, officers, directors, and their immediate family members and members of the same household, of NWSL, each of the NWSL teams, Nationwide, and each of their affiliates, and any other entity associated with the LHIA, the Fan Impact Challenge or Promotion (the “Challenge Parties”) are not eligible to participate. The NWSL is not a sponsor of the Promotion. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and is void outside the Territory and where prohibited by law. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to validation of the judging process. Sponsor may require proof of consent at any time and in any manner it deems appropriate. Other eligibility requirements and conditions of participation are set forth below in these official rules for the Promotion (“Official Rules”). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters relating to the Promotion.
Fan Voting Process:
- Eligible Entrants can participate in the Challenge from August 15, 2025 at 12:01 am EST to August 30, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST (the “Submission Period”).
- To participate: Eligible Entrants must visit nwslsoccer.com/FanImpactChallenge, click on the Lauren Holiday Impact Award nominee they’d like to see win the fan challenge, and properly submit their nomination.
- Only 1 submission per day per device ( i.e., computer, phone, etc.) will be counted during the Submission Period.
- The LHIA nominee with the most submissions at the end of the Submission Period will be announced as the “Fan Impact Challenge Winner” in early September. Nationwide will make a $10,000 donation to a charitable organization of the Fan Impact Challenge Winner’s choice.
Promotion Sweepstakes Entry:
Once the Fan Impact Challenge Winner is identified, Sponsor will randomly select one (1) of the Eligible Entrants who voted from the Fan Impact Challenge Winner (the “Potential Winner”) to win the following prize: one (1) NWSL team jersey with an ARV of $95.00.
No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of the Prize is permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. If the Prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor and the NWSL reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes on the Prize, and all other costs associated with acceptance or use of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Arrangements for delivery of the Prize will be performed after winner validation as set forth herein.
Message and data rates may apply if you choose to participate using your mobile device. Submissions generated by script, macro or other automated means or with the intent to affect the integrity of the process will be void.
Winner Selection: Winner will be notified via email on or before September 3, 2025.
Notification & Validation of Winners: The Potential Winner will be notified by email and may be required to complete, sign and return an affidavit or declaration of eligibility, a liability release, tax forms, and where lawful, a publicity release (collectively, the “Prize Claim Documents”) within a stated amount of time. If any required Prize Claim Documents or information are not received by the date stated on the notification, or if any notification is returned as non-deliverable, or if the Potential Winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, or does not return such other releases as deemed necessary by Sponsor, the Potential Winner will be disqualified and at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternative Potential Winner may be selected from the Eligible Entrants. A Potential Winner who complies with all of the Official Rules will be deemed a “Winner.”
Limitations: Challenge Parties are not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of Eligible Entrants. Challenge Parties assume no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, stolen, illegible, inaccurate, damaged or incomplete submissions or other communications, non-delivered or postage due mail, failure or unavailability of electronic equipment, communications or internet connections, or other errors, failures or malfunctions of any kind, including but not limited to human errors. Entries by automatic, programmed or like methods will be disqualified. Improper, incomplete, mutilated and/or illegible submissions will be disqualified.
Modification, Suspension and Termination: If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to infection by virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor or any of the Challenge Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, integrity, fairness or proper conduct of this Promotion, or if this Promotion is compromised or becomes corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void suspect submissions/Eligible Entrants and/or modify, suspend and/or terminate this Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the stated end date of the Submission Period, the Sponsor may select a winner from among all non-suspect Eligible Entrants received as of the time/date of termination using the selection procedures listed in these Official Rules.
Disqualification: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the voting/submission process, who acts in a disruptive or unfair manner, or who attempts to enter using any automatic or programmed entry method, or any entry service. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY CORRUPT OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Privacy: Personal identifiable information that is submitted by participants as part of this Fan Impact Challenge will be used to administer the promotion and will be treated in accordance with Nationwide's privacy policy, accessible at http://nationwide.com/nw/privacy.
Publicity. Except where prohibited, by accepting the Prize, Winner grants permission for the Challenge Parties to use their name, video/photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising and/or publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without additional compensation. As a condition of entering the Promotion, each Eligible Entrant gives consent for the Challenge Parties to obtain and deliver his or her name, email address, address, prize details, and other information to third parties for the purpose of administering this Promotion, to provide any prizes or aspects thereof and to comply with applicable laws, regulations and rules. By participating in the Promotion, each Eligible Entrant agrees to all of the terms and conditions of the Sponsor and/or NWSL’s Privacy Policy, which is available at the Challenge Site. In the event of any discrepancy between the Sponsor and/or NWSL’s Privacy Policy and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.
Disputes/Choice of Law: Except where prohibited, each participant agrees that: (i) all issues and questions concerning these Selection Process shall be governed by Ohio law without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction; (ii) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Selection Process shall be (A) resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (B) filed only in the state or federal courts situated in Franklin County, Ohio state, and participant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such disputes, claims or causes of action; (iii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (iv) under no circumstances will any party be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
Releases/Waivers: As a condition of entering, Eligible Entrants/Winner agree (and agree to confirm in writing): (a) to release, discharge and hold harmless Challenge Parties their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, sales representatives, distributors, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies and the officers, directors, employees and agents of each of the foregoing, from and against any and all liability, loss, injuries or damages associated with participation in this Promotion or incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of the Prize, or the use of any photo, video or other entry (b) that under no circumstances will an Eligible Entrant/Winner be permitted to obtain awards for, and the Eligible Entrant/Winner hereby waives all rights to claim (to the extent allowed by applicable law), punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, or the Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred to participate, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs. By entering the Promotion, you understand and acknowledge that you will not now or in the future be paid or compensated in any way for your Entry or for granting the Sponsor any of the rights set out in these Official Rules. You further acknowledge that Sponsor is not obligated to make use of any of the rights granted in these Official Rules.
