Morgan is a two-time World Cup champion, an Olympic gold medalist, and one of the most prolific goal scorers in women’s international soccer. In 2019 and 2022, she was nominated for the Ballon d’Or. With 123 goals in 224 appearances for the USWNT, she ends her career ranked fifth for her national team in goals.
Iconic. Transcendent. Undeniable.

Morgan has featured for three NWSL clubs — Portland Thorns, Orlando Pride, and San Diego Wave where she finishes her career. For Portland, she scored 15 goals in 36 appearances and helped propel them to becoming the league’s first champions in 2013; for Orlando, she scored 23 goals in 66 appearances; and for San Diego, she has scored 22 goals, assisted 8 more, and on Sunday, she will play in her 150th career regular season game. In San Diego’s inaugural 2022 season, Morgan earned the NWSL Golden Boot and captained the team to their first playoff berth, making them the first expansion side to achieve that feat. In 2023, she once again led the club to success, securing their first NWSL Shield. Morgan scored the game-winner in this year’s Challenge Cup Final against Gotham FC. At 60 regular-season goals, she ranks the fourth-highest scorer in league history.
Off the field, Alex Morgan has been a transformative force. As a fierce advocate for player safety and mothers' rights, she played a pivotal role in securing the NWSLPA’s first-ever collective bargaining agreement and achieving equal pay for the USWNT. Her influence has reached every corner of the sport globally, cementing a legacy that will endure for generations. Thank you, Alex, for all you’ve done to elevate the game and for all the barriers you’ll continue to break in the next era of your career.
