Australian international forward Kyah Simon will join the Houston Dash for the first time this season. Simon was selected sixth by the Dash in the NWSL Dispersal Draft on January, 30 and joins Houston fresh off helping Australia finish second at the 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup and earning a berth to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.Simon played with Melbourne City FC in the winter before being selected by Houston and scored two goals in her 14 appearances. Before playing for Melbourne City FC, Simon spent a season with former NWSL club the Boston Breakers. Simon played with the Breakers in 2016 and scored three goals in her 23 appearances. The Dash will host the league-leading Courage to BBVA Compass Stadium for the first time this year. The club has waived midfielder Allison Wetherington with the move.
