NEW YORK (September 4, 2025) - The National Women’s Soccer League announced today that Chicago Stars Forward Ludmila has been named the Player of the Month, presented by EA SPORTS, for the month of August by the NWSL Media Association.

Ludmila scored five goals in August, including the fastest hat trick in NWSL history. She scored three goals in just 10 minutes and nine seconds against the North Carolina Courage, leading the offense charge to tie the game. She also became the first NWSL player to score a hat trick as a sub.

She also equalized the game against the Spirit, making it five straight come-from-behind draws for Chicago. With her outstanding performance, Ludmila is now third in the Golden Boot race, scoring nine goals overall.

The NWSL Player of the Month is selected each month of the regular season by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league on a consistent basis. Awards for the month of August are based on performances during the regular season matches.
