It was a busy Sunday of quarterfinals action at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 tournament in the Netherlands. Two NWSL players ([**Nadia Nadim**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/a9ds5lw4ekhfjzmlpax91mdw5) and [**Line Sigvardsen Jensen**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/xszetkxjaqv797w5i6sskbth)) advanced to the semifinals, while **[Amandine Henry](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/3c765kc3b4cmgie0qf84jh1hx)** and France fell to England later in the day. ### Denmark 2 Germany 1 In the early Sunday morning hours (for fans in the United States, at least), Denmark shocked the women’s soccer world with a 2-1 comeback win over Germany, the six-time defending European Champions. Portland Thorns FC forward Nadia Nadim’s 49th minute header leveled the match and Denmark scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute on a header by **Theresa Nielsen**. Germany, the six-time defending champions and No. 2 ranked team in the world, are out of the tournament in the quarterfinals for the first time ever. Denmark are headed to their sixth all-time semifinal, but they have never made the final. Nadim and Washington Spirit midfielder Line Sigvardsen Jensen both played all 90 minutes in the upset. Sigvardsen Jensen has not missed a minute of action in four games this tournament. The game was originally supposed to take place on Saturday, but was postponed because of weather. It began at 6 a.m. ET on Sunday. * * * ### England 1 France 0 France’s run at the tournament came to an end Sunday as they fell 1-0 to England. Jodie Taylor scored her sixth goal of the tournament in the 60th minute, and that was all England needed to advance. Despite the loss, Henry was named Player of the Match. She also served as captain as Wendie Renard was suspended for the match because of yellow card accumulation. [Empty Body] Henry played every minute of the tournament and was one of the keys to the group stage for France. She earned the decisive penalty kick (converted by **Eugenie Le Sommer**) in the 1-0 win over Iceland to open the tournament. In the 1-1 draw with Austria in France’s second match, it was Henry who scored for France on a header in the 51st minute to tie the game.
