The Portland Thorns are ready to bounce back from an up-and-down 2024 season, and they’ve made the moves to do it. Sophia Wilson (previously Sophia Smith) and Sam Coffey return to lead the charge, with Wilson aiming to build on her impressive third-place finish in last season’s Golden Boot race. New signing Deyna Castellanos brings creative attacking flair, while Ivy League standout Pietra Tordin adds youthful energy to the frontline. Backed by one of the best fan environments in the league, where the passion of the Rose City faithful fuels every match, Portland’s retooled lineup is primed for a comeback season and a push toward a fourth star above their crest.
