When Esme Morgan returned from the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro Championship as a champion, her Spirit teammates celebrated her in appropriate fashion. They surprised her with a cake decorated in honor of her team.
One would be forgiven for thinking the team in question is England, the country she calls home and represented in the tournament. One, however, would be woefully incorrect.
Instead of baked goods in honor of the Lionesses, Morgan was hand delivered a Jacksonville Jaguars cake.
One thing about Esme Morgan, she really loves the Jags.
In a video shared by the Spirit, Morgan says she tunes into NFL RedZone every Sunday. With the Jaguars playing a game in London every season since 2013 (with the exception of 2020), the following in the U.K. is loyal to say the least.
So when Morgan saw the cake, she let out a classic, “Jags, baby!” before realizing there was a QR code baked into the top. The code took her to a personalized video from none other than Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
“Hey, Esme! I heard you’re a big fan,” Lawrence said. “I just wanted to say hello and congratulate you and the Lionesses on your Euros championship. Congrats to you guys. That’s amazing, and I hope to see you at Wembley this fall.”
@Jaguars thanks so much for the special gift to our girl! Let’s make Wembley happen 🤝👀 pic.twitter.com/zGegquYIoj

At the end of the video, Morgan raised her hands in triumph as her teammates clapped, cheered, and handed her a custom No. 24 Jacksonville jersey.
Was the highlight of Morgan’s summer the Euro win or the shoutout from her team? We may never know.
