Foord has yet to play for Portland Thorns FC this season as she has been out with a right lis franc repair.[ The Oregonian’s Jamie Goldberg reported on Tuesday that Foord could see her first minutes](https://www.oregonlive.com/portland-thorns/2018/07/portland_thorns_forward_caitli_1.html) of the season on the road vs. Sky Blue FC on Saturday. *Update — on Tuesday evening, [Australia announced that 15-year-old Mary Fowler has been added to the roster](https://matildas.footballaustralia.com.au/news/15-year-old-star-added-westfield-matildas-tournament-nations-squad). Head coach Alen Stajcic said Fowler was added to the roster because Foord would not appear in games during the tournament.* Last year’s Tournament of Nations featured 34 players across all four teams (Australia, Japan, Brazil and the United States). After this weekend’s games on July 20/21, the NWSL will mostly be on break until August 5, though the Chicago Red Stars and Sky Blue FC will meet on July 28. The full NWSL slate resumes on Sunday, August 5, with four games. Australia, Brazil and Japan have all qualified for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The United States will take part in Concacaf’s qualifying tournament in October. All four teams are currently ranked in the top eight teams in the world: United States (No. 1), Japan (No. 6), Brazil (No. 7) and Australia (No. 8).
