Twenty-one NWSL players have been [called in by head coach Jill Ellis](https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2018/01/03/14/30/20180103-news-wnt-ellis-names-26-players-to-usa-roster-for-annual-january-training-camp) for the U.S. women’s national team’s first training camp of the year, beginning Jan. 6 in Carson, California, U.S Soccer announced Wednesday. Twenty-six players in total will be in for the camp, which will end with a match vs. Denmark in San Diego on Jan. 21 (**7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN**).Two potential high draft picks in the upcoming [2018 NWSL College Draft](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/collegedraft) are also on the roster: midfielder **Andi Sullivan** (Stanford) and forward **Savannah McCaskill** (South Carolina). Both could be two of the top picks on Jan. 18 in Philadelphia. (The Spirit hold the first pick and the Breakers hold the second.) Sullivan has seven USWNT caps and McCaskill has yet to make her international debut. Red Stars midfielder [**Julie Ertz**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/dve5pao9dmobh167wb8g45g45) is back in camp for the first time since being named 2017 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year. Thorns defender [**Emily Sonnett**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/3aj7p478dcuat6tz8096sq8dl), who was called in to the USWNT’s last camp of 2017, has been called in again. She is currently playing in the W-League in Australia for Sydney FC. Fellow Thorns defender [**Meghan Klingenberg**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/bnnc9csv7qrc2xgx7yzgxlcr9) is back in camp for the first time since appearing for the U.S. vs. Sweden and Norway last summer.
