U.S. women’s national team head coach Jill Ellis has named the 26 players who will be in training camp ahead of next month’s SheBelieves Cup. The training camp will take place in Orlando, Florida, for one week beginning Monday, February 19.The roster will then be trimmed to 23 players before the team heads to Columbus, Ohio, in advance of the first game vs. Germany on March 1. The United States will take on Germany, England and France (last year’s SheBelieves Cup champions) in the tournament. The reigning NWSL Rookie of the Year, forward [**Ashley Hatch**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/b9d4fqz6ezz2azklpghb9kyjt), has been called into the camp. Hatch has one cap with the senior team, earned in October of 2016 before her breakout NWSL rookie season. While a member of the North Carolina Courage, Hatch tied a rookie record with seven goals. She is now a member of the Washington Spirit following an offseason trade that sent the rights to USWNT forward **Crystal Dunn** to the Courage in exchange for Hatch and USWNT defender [**Taylor Smith**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6z68ej070bws9x17xsmo4c4b9). The top two picks in the 2018 NWSL College Draft have also been named to the roster, ahead of their first professional seasons. Midfielder **Andi Sullivan** was selected No. 1 by the Washington Spirit and has eight appearances with the senior team. Forward **Savannah McCaskill** was selected No. 2 by the Boston Breakers and is now with Sky Blue FC following last month’s dispersal draft. McCaskill received her first international cap last month vs. Denmark. “We had a productive training camp in January and a quality performance against Denmark to open the year, so the goal in the training portion of this camp is to refine our roles and relationships within our style of play,” Ellis said in a U.S. Soccer news release. “We will again have the majority of our core players back in and we’ll have the numbers to be able to play 11v11 before finalizing the tournament roster.” U.S. Soccer said injured players [**Becky Sauerbrunn**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/dpi1jk3r0cyn9f9ote89781jp) (foot), [**Sam Mewis**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/4tcmt910n2lj88n5m0aqoddcl) (knee) and [**Tobin Heath**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/cxl4bxs35ifb8o5cq9jxi1ec5) (ankle) are not yet ready to play in games, but have been progressing well as they work their way back from injury. On a conference call with reporters, Ellis also said that Portland Thorns FC goalkeeper [**Adrianna Franch**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/4baep35yxj0df8fqwcvh7x8lx) would’ve been called into camp as well if not for an injury. Spirit midfielder **[Rose Lavelle](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/4j3kopvvd3iej6p4h9z36giqd)**, who has seen limited action since a hamstring injury suffered last June, will be in camp. “Rose will be in camp with us. [She’s] made a lot of progress. I think we’re just being very meticulous in terms of how we bring her back. It’s going to be layered in. It’s going to be this amount of minutes in training and then incrementally grow that. But she’s far enough long to bring her into camp,” Ellis said on the conference call. U.S. Soccer also said that Dunn (currently playing for Chelsea in England) and former Red Stars midfielder **Morgan Brian** (now with Lyon in France) will remain in Europe during the camp and only join the team if named to the final roster.
