NEW YORK (July 3, 2025) - The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that Kansas City Current head coach Vlatko Andonovski has been named Coach of the Month for the month of June by the NWSL Media Association and the league’s on-air broadcast talent.
Andonovski led the Current to an undefeated June, holding on to the top of the NWSL table since Week 5. Kansas City is the first team to reach and surpass 10 wins this season with a record of 11-2-0 (W-L-D). All three wins in June came at home, giving the Current a perfect 6-0-0 record when hosting on the season.
The Current leads the league in goals per match (2.2), goals conceded per match (0.8), and clean sheets (6), showcasing just how well rounded the team is in Andonovski’s second full year at the helm.
The NWSL Coach of the Month is selected by the NWSL Media Association, a collection of writers that cover the league consistently, and the NWSL’s on-air broadcast talent. Awards for the month of June are based on performances during regular season matches.
