In a social media post shared Monday, Washington Spirit defender Kassey Kallman said she won’t return to the NWSL in 2018.“With a conflicted heart, I’m announcing that I will not be returning to the NWSL for this upcoming season as of now. Stepping away from the game I love has been a tough decision, but I’m certain it’s the right decision for me at this time,” she wrote. “I’m definitely not calling it a retirement. If situations align in the future I would love nothing more than stepping back on the field in the best league in the world.” >
