The Kansas City Current lifted the club's first-ever NWSL Shield on Saturday night. With a win over the Seattle Reign, the Current secured their place at the top of the table, making them untouchable in the standings for the rest of the season.

It was a historic night in KC as the Current became the fastest team in NWSL history to clinch the Shield, doing so with five games left in the season. With the way they’ve been playing, there’s been a lot to celebrate.

Though the job isn’t finished yet, the Current basked in the glory of the win, hoisting the Shield as confetti rained down. It’s just KC, baby!
