Marta, Nairn and [**Alanna Kennedy**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6bcvcloym3tzxss5hgsw4h1at) — who scored a free kick goal herself last year — stood over the ball, but it was Marta who stepped up and struck it with her left foot, bending it around the wall and over a diving [**Michelle Betos**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/9ifjrfggioh9cmphk85gykzx1) to tie the game 1-1. With the draw, the Reign are now 2-1-1 and the Pride are 1-2-2 so far this season. The Pride will head to Chicago to face the Red Stars on Wednesday. The Reign will head to Portland to take on the Thorns on Saturday.
