SeatGeek Stadium | Bridgeview, Illinois – Saturday, October 02 at 7:30 PM ET

Match facts: Sitting neck and neck in the table, fans are in for a battle between Chicago Red Stars and Orlando Pride at SeatGeek Stadium this weekend.

Historically speaking, the away sides in this fixture hold the upper hand winning each of the last seven matches however, the Red Stars are currently on a hot-streak at home winning five of their last six matches at SeatGeek Stadium. Orlando Pride, meanwhile, have hit a recent road bump after seeing their seven-match scoring run come to a halt last week. They have not gone back-to-back games without a goal in NWSL competitions since August 2019 so the visitors will no doubt aim to get back to their usual ways. Looking at the table the Red Stars are 8-7-5 and in fourth while the Pride are 7-6-7 and sit just below in fifth. Will the away record in this tie live on? Or will Chicago keep hold of all three points?

**Players to watch: **

A breath of fresh air on the pitch, 23-year-old Mallory Pugh will be one to watch for the hosts. The forward is crucial to Chicago’s offence with three goals and four assists to her name alongside her team-leading crosses attempted (118), dribbles attempted (68) and fouls won (31). While Orlando Pride may not have got on the scoresheet last week, veteran attacker Alex Morgan was a threat on the pitch throughout the 90 minutes. Relentless with her speed and an eye to create a scoring chance virtually out of nothing, Chicago will have to keep her tame if they hope to keep a clean sheet.
