However, they lost their other four matches suffering defeat to Chicago and Kansas City, home and away, spelling out the struggles the side had staying competitive in the Challenge Cup. Not much different in results, though, San Diego’s lone win of their tournament came against Angel City at home, with losses to both OL Reign (x1) and Portland (x2) only saved by points against Angel City on the road and OL Reign at home. However, though their attacking stats spell progress, the Wave have both scored and allowed at least one goal in all three of their road games so far as an NWSL club.
