OL Reign vs. Racing Louisville FC
Tacoma, Washington – In the first ever match up between the two clubs, it was the host OL Reign (5-6-1, 16 points) that came out on top with a 2-0 win over Racing Louisville FC (3-6-2, 11 points). The Reign have now won all five matches this season when scoring multiple goals.
Eugenie Le Sommer's first goal in a Reign uniform was a brilliant one as she crossed up the defender and curled in a shot to the top right of the net. The goal came in the 27' from an assist by Dzsenifer Marozsan.
OL Reign found their second goal in the 43' when Jessica Fishlock sent a through ball to Le Sommer as she found herself one on one with the goalkeeper and just beat her to the left side to record a brace. Racing Louisville now moves to 0-6-0 when conceding the first goal this season. The Reign will remain at home for their next competition when they are set to host the Houston Dash on Saturday, August 7th with kickoff at 10:00 PM ET. Louisville's next match will be a home contest on Sunday, August 8th against Kansas City at 3:00 PM ET.
