Portland Thorns vs. NJ/NY Gotham

Portland, Oregon – The host, Portland Thorns (5-3-1, 16 points) and NJ/NY Gotham (3-1-4, 13 points) battled to a 0-0 draw as each team picked up one National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) point. This was the third time the two clubs have matched up this season with the Thorns defeating Gotham in the Challenge Cup Final.

Thorn's Bella Bixby and Gotham's Didi Haracic stepped up big when called upon as Bixby recorded two saves while Haracic stopped four shots. Portland is now unbeaten in its last nine competitive matches against Gotham FC (4-0-5). The first-half shutout, continued Gotham's streak of not allowing a goal in the first-half of regular season play.Late in the second half, Gotham's Estelle Johnson recorded her 10,000' of action in the NWSL. Up next for NJ/NY will be another road contest against the Washington Spirit on Sunday, July 18 at 3:00 PM ET. The Thorns will remain at home as they will next host the Orlando Pride on Sunday, July 18 at 10:30 PM ET.
