Forward Claire Emslie signed with Angel City FC on July 7, 2022.

She previously played for Everton in England. In 2019, she made 11 appearances for Orlando before being loaned to Melbourne City in the Australian W-League for their 2019–2020 season, winning the League and Championship in an unbeaten season. Between 2011 and 2017, she played for Hibernian, winning the Scottish cup at every age group up to seniors and the league cup. After four years at FAU she joined Bristol City and won promotion to WSL1. She then moved to Manchester City where she won both the League Cup and the FA Cup in 2018–2019.

Emslie has represented Scotland internationally since 2013, including at the 2019 World Cup, where she scored Scotland's first ever World Cup goal against England. She has 73 caps and 16 goals in total for Scotland.

Born in Edinburgh and raised in Penicuik, Emslie attended Florida Atlantic University, making 76 appearances and scoring 29 goals (current record), entering the hall of fame in 2025, and studied exercise physiology.

Claire is proud to support the GPLA Leadership Academy Program which empowers girls and gender-expansive youth in LA's under-represented neighborhoods through sport and personal development. She's passionate about giving back to the next generation and providing mentorship to help these athletes on their journey.
