Community Partner: MINDDRIVE
KC Current is honored to recognize Claire Hutton as the club's nominee for the 2025 Lauren Holiday Impact Award. Claire has chosen MINDDRIVE as her community partner, an organization that provides hands-on, project-based learning programs in STEM fields for high school students in the Kansas City area. Claire is deeply passionate about amplifying MINDDRIVE’s mission to set young people on a path to success, empowering them to shape their own futures.
Claire exemplifies the award’s core values through her genuine dedication to community service and her commitment to using her platform to create meaningful change. Through KC Current’s partnership with United Way, Claire initiated a volunteer event for her and her teammates to support those affected by the California wildfires. She facilitated outreach to United Way of Greater Orange County and organized the event during a player off day at preseason training in Irvine, California.
In addition, Claire actively collaborates with Football for the World, an organization that provides opportunities for youth to play soccer through access to quality coaching and equipment donations. This year, the partnership will donate items to under-resourced athletes in the Kansas City Metro area, Malawi, and Claire's hometown of Bethlehem, New York.
