NWSL Celebrates the Best of the 2025 Season at the NWSL Awards, Presented by AT&T

SAN JOSE (November 19, 2025) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) honored the standout players, coaches and teams from an unforgettable 2025 campaign during the NWSL Awards, presented by AT&T, broadcast live on ESPN2 from the San Jose Civic on Wednesday, November 19. The show was hosted by former NWSL defender and current league broadcaster Jordan Angeli.

Featuring arrivals on a custom AT&T blue carpet, special recognitions and the She’s Connected Lounge, the event brought together league stars, partners and the broader soccer community for a landmark celebration of excellence in women’s soccer.

2025 NWSL Awards winners:

  • Most Valuable Player, presented by AT&T: Temwa Chawinga (Kansas City Current)

  • Rookie of the Year, presented by Ally: Lilly Reale (Gotham FC)

  • Goalkeeper of the Year, presented by e.l.f. Cosmetics: Lorena (Kansas City Current)

  • Defender of the Year: Tara McKeown (Washington Spirit)

  • Midfielder of the Year: Manaka Matsukubo (North Carolina Courage)

  • Coach of the Year: Bev Yanez (Racing Louisville FC)

  • Lauren Holiday Impact Award, presented by Nationwide: Sam Hiatt (Portland Thorns FC)
